What this site is
Writing about makeup technique for beginners, by one person under her own name. It is published in good faith and written carefully, and it is still general information rather than advice about your particular face, skin or eyes.
Not professional or medical advice
I am not a licensed makeup artist, an esthetician, or a clinician. Nothing here diagnoses or treats anything. Do not delay seeing a doctor because of something you read here. Skin that is sore, swelling, breaking out badly, or reacting to a product, and any eye irritation that does not settle quickly, needs a professional who can examine it.
Patch testing and your own risk
Skin varies, and so do eyes. A product that suits most people can irritate yours. Anything you try after reading an article here, you try at your own risk. Patch testing something new before it goes on your whole face, and being careful with anything used near the eyes, is sensible whatever the article said.
Accuracy and change
Formulations get reworked and products get discontinued, so an article that was right when it was written can drift out of date. Each page shows when it was last updated. I correct what I find and note substantive changes on the page, but I do not warrant that every page is current at the moment you read it.
